As a matter of fact, some NFL Network folks are longtime members of the COW, so I’ll ask around.

While I’m here, I’ll also recommend that you kids make some time for the NFL Network’s NFL Replay. It airs Tuesday and Wednesday nights, and offers 90-minute cutdowns of one of Sunday’s games — and adds back a lot of juicy goodness, including tidbits from post-game interviews, AND, most of the replay angles are from NFL Films. It’s absolutely the best. A truly killer combination.

Anyway, NFL Films has always had some of the most beautiful footage of any sort, so this is going to be very interesting, from both a camera and a post perspective….

All of the Canon camera forums are mapped together. We don’t have a ton of photography posts, so any post in one of those forums appears in all of them, in an attempt to provide the best chances for an answer. We do this with a number of lower-trafficked topics, such as shared storage.

So this one’s as good as many. 🙂

Hi John,

For the moment, let me point you to the Business & Marketing forum. There are a number of voiceover aficionados there. Some do voiceovers, quite a few hire voiceover artists, and more than a few are avid fans of the craft. They’ll steer you straight.

In general, though, we tend to watch the topics that generate their own center of gravity, and build forums around those. But now that you’ve put this on the radar, I’ll be keeping an eye out. 🙂

There’s a place to add your signature on the FIRST PAGE of the signup page. Our assumption was that most people would use them, so we put it right up front where you couldn’t miss it.

Apparently the first page is not far enough forward.

Hence also that box just below the text entry area for your posts: “Add Your Message Signature.” You can set the default on said front page of your settings. Depending on how you set it, that box will either be selected or not selected appropriately for the default, so that you can always add it or not on a post-by-post basis.

True…and if it wasn’t, I’m as mystified as you are. It REALLY never crossed my mind that somebody would get their chops busted for this. Half of our most frequent posters have them. (I just checked. Yes, HALF.) So I have no idea why it’s coming up at all, much less NOW, more than 19 years after we started.

I’m sorry that any of you had to see that, but I confess. I didn’t catch it any earlier because I cut out early to see Guardians of the Galaxy. (Highly recommended, btw.)

What a pathetic name to use for hit and run trollery. Weak. He wasn’t even trying. (Surely a he, yes?) Didn’t even have enough pride in his fake name to spell it correctly. I’d have probably killed the account just for the misspelling, but anyone dropping the f-bomb and the h-bomb (hate) had better bring some game to the post.

And yes, that is official COW policy. “F-bombs must be accompanied by GAME. Failure to bring game to a post with the F-bomb will result in immediate termination of account.”

And I should perhaps amend the policy to include bringing game to YOUR NAME.

Ah, but this is a switch in the other direction! From something (Media Composer or Symphony I assume?) to X, then out of X back to Media Composer.

Although I’m intrigued — had you considered yourself to have become “an FCPX guy,” rather than just using it for a job? I know that when you commit to something you commit…so I guess I’m asking, had you gone long enough to consider yourself committed?

But I’m still looking for someone who said, “Welp, the grass was NOT greener on the other side. It’s BACK to X for me.”

So I’m not talking about JUST converting TO FCPX. I’m talking about having LEFT the Apple-verse for Adobe or Avid, not liking it well enough to stay, then coming back to X and saying, “Ah yes, THIS feels right.”

And to lay out the bias that’s built into my question, I’d be surprised if anyone fit that scenario. Gone is gone. But I’m wrong often enough that I won’t be surprised to be wrong. 🙂
