Well, you gotta start somewhere, right? I’m gonna give it my all! Plus, with informative networks like the COW that are full of every Q&A under the sun and with tutorials, classes and trial and error, I’ll do just fine. I understand what you’re saying though. It isn’t just for cute videos of the kids that’s for sure. But there’s a market for it in our region and we’ve got to get on top of it or let the next guy take it and run.

Hi Michael. Thanks for your post. I’m sure you’re correct about no industry standard. As far as Avid, until I found this site I had never heard of Avid. I’ll have to check it out.

AVID and Adobe on the same level but a little more money to get into them.” This is great information, exactly what I’m looking for. Your first reference to professional arena/tools hold true in everything.

Thanks, Rafael, for your response. what you said about iMovie makes perfect sense. The “codec” you refer to is something I know nothing about but have read a little about them on this site. While looking for ease of production I also want multiple exporting options and, of course, quality. I watched an FC tutorial and an Adobe Premier tutorial on this site since my original post but neither were enough to determine one way or the other. Maybe price can help me decide. Any opinion on FC Express?
