Thanks for your reply, I actually managed to recreate it myself yesterday. I got a sphere, then added that to a boolean with a linear cloner containing tall rectangles. This gave me individual slices to play with. I added that to a volume builder and volume mesh, along with a SDF smooth effect. I also added Remesh to help with the jagged edges.
Then like you said, I just experimented with the movement by adding a random effector to the cloner, a displacer effect on everything to give it some waviness, then keyframed the rotation on the cloner to give me a looped animation.
I then added a glass material and experimented with the lighting. It took me a while to get the material see through, I only just discovered the ‘Thin Walled’ tick mark on the material geometry.
