I edit in the style of being anti-many layers, I try to keep the main picture edit on one layer so if thats the case then this sounds good and should flow pretty well.

Yes, I meant to a Hard Drive, not HD. I’ve cut two features in the past, both 35mm, but I was given offline dv tapes to edit off of. This is my first 35mm project to receive an uncompressed format and I wanted to make sure that I would have the ability to run it off my FW800 drive without any problems.

Just to clarify the process. 35mm to Digibeta… Digibeta captured 8-bit uncompressed onto a Hard Drive…. edit off the drive.

By the way, why would you give up after reading I am a student?
