Thanks for that Floh. Our new MacPro3.1 Quad-Core Intel Xeon edit suite (a year ago next month) never had that option (never came with one anyway) and can’t say I’d heard of the “mighty mouse” before, so will look into getting one if it makes things easier with editing!

Or did you mean the SIDE buttons on the mouse?? If so, what do you have them set to for this to work as you showed in the video?

Only observation I have is that Floh says (when selecting clips for Multi-Cam use) “….or by RIGHT CLICKING on the clips in the bin….“.

    With a Mac mouse?????

    Matt,

I’m sure by now you have already solved this problem, but here’s what we do to master to DSR45 via firewire:

    Project Settings:

    Codecs: (aquire/import+firewire out)
    SET TO DV

    Preferences:
Video Output: (output HDe change to DV)
SET TO DV and Select DV Deck for control too.

    Device Control:
Set to Firewire and Select deck too.

You should now see an image on the DVCam monitor screen, but make sure you selected DV in on the DSR45 (you won’t hear sound thru your speakers as this is now routed via the Firewire, but check the sound input with the ‘display select’ switch on the DSR45. Now Master to Tape (within File Menu).

It took me ages to solve this ouput problem too and I never thought I was going to be able to master back to DVCam, but this makes things work OK for me.

Yes I agree. Having looked at the M100 website I find it a bit confusing as there are already mentions of Media100 Suite there (on main page), but it seems to only refer to the current “new in version 13”. Only other info is the (now out of date) press release at the top. Perhaps an update would be in order?
