    I have FCP5.1.2, rendered alpha is 32 bits/pixel.
Can you please explain “properly selected the type of alpha you have rendered in the FCP browser?”

That is the worflow that I did, and then reconnected the media in the timeline to the recaptured footage, but it still didn’t look right. In the timeline, each clip was still at the DVC PRO aspect ratio, instead of square, even though the clip was captured as uncompressed HD.

I didn’t do media manager, I just selected all of the clips in the timeline and right clicked to capture at uncompressed quality. I am now currently doing media mananger, and hopefully recapture all media files at full rez.

I just hooked up a reference video in to the card, and it is a Sony TG700. I am going out the black 1 (it has 4) into the Kona card. Will this fix all of my woes that have come to pass? I changed the reference in to the desired 1080psf 23.98.

I do not have any reference in for the Kona card. Could that be what is causing my problem?

I did a systems test, abd the write speed was 200.6 MB/s, and the read speed was 233.2 MB/s. THe test was done on 1920×1080 10 bit, with a file size of 4GB. I maxed out the test because the majority of our work here will be uncompressed HD documentaries. Looking at the graph of the test, the read speed was above the yellow line, but the write speed was below the magenta line. Does that indicate that my write speed is not up to snuff with this particular setting?
