SOLUTION FOR WINDOWS:
In windows for all adobe products press ALT+SPACE and choose move. then the keyboard arrows will move your window anywhere you choose.

This works for all windows windows.

You can select the path and chose “add to shape area” or “subtract from shape area” buttons on the tool options menu (cs3) if you are dealing only with a path.
