re: de interlacing –
should I go into sequence settings before exporting and change field dominance to none?
– or just leave field dominance as “lower” (as sequence setting now stands) and de-interlace in compressor? I have been doing some further reading and it seems that compressor does a better job.
The H.264 options are 1) for Apple devices 2) for Blue-Ray and 3) for DVD Studio Pro. If I am making it for streaming on the internet (Kickstarter website directly, not via YouTube in this case), do I chose the Apple Devices option? I assume that it will work on PC’s, any computer etc.

Can you tell it’s my first time using compressor? Two hours reading the manual 🙂

Thank you for your response Dave.
I was under the impression that I needed to have HD footage to use the ProRes422 Codec.

And yes, we will be doing the “real” film in a 23.98 timeline and exporting as such as well. We’ve converted any standard 24p footage.

I am not sure how to get your email address from this forum but can you send me an email to clairemp@mac.com – hopefully you can upload it to my iDisk public folder. I will give you the password in a return email, and be very grateful!

Unfortunately I followed someone’s advice here and put my 5.1.4 on a separate harddrive, then loaded that onto the second computer. It seemed to upgrade just fine, and I can see the application – but it just doesn’t open. ???? yikes.
