Need update to Final Cut 5.1.4
Does anyone have the Final Cut 5.1.4 update? This is a free update, but is missing on Apple’s site. One of my workstations still needs this update or else it can’t open any projects created on the other workstations.
Alot of people are having this same problem. I have no idea why Apple removed it and left all of the really old updates on there but it is really screwing my life up.
Please help! -

Use a Mac that has FCP5.1 installed, go to software update, and take 5.1.4 as a download only, and store/burn a copy for use anytime.

I would do that, but it does not come up as a software update anymore. That’s how I updated my other workstations. I do have 5.1 installed on this last workstation, but 5.1.4 does not show up when you run software update. I have read alot of threads from other people who are having this same exact problem.
I have contacted Apple by leaving feedback, but I don’t expect to hear anything from them.
I’d be willing to pay for this update, that’s how important this is to me so that I can work on these projects.
Does anyone have a standalone installer for this? -
I have this 5.1.4 updater, but it is 42mb, do you have a server I can upload to?
Otherwise give me an address, and I’ll mail it to you on disc.Cheers

I also had this problem. One computer had 5.1.4 and the other had 5.0. I just copied the final cut pro app to an external harddrive then replaced the old version with it. Worked like a charm.

Also need this updater, I did a system re-install and realized I don’t have this updater anymore… can’t open any of my edits. Have no idea why Apple removed it from their site. Does anyone have it on a server, or can drop it on mine. Please help.
