Thank you Flo….I did not know the interface of 8.2.2 and SW were the same as I have not upgraded from 7.5 yet, but I do like the simplicity and ease of the old 7.5. I need to get up and running this week and just don’t have the time to wait for SW with firewire release, plus I do like having the BOB, which I’m assuming will not work with the software release. I also have Tiger in the G5 and am hoping it is okay with the chassis and 8.2.2. I am going to hold off ordering it for a few days hoping to hear how it is working from others. Again, thank you.

Completely agree! (Are you seeing this Steve Bayes?) As much as I want to upgrade to the HD system (just too much money and no firewire input), I’m waiting to see what they are going to do with the software version supposedly being released later this year (I believe).

Thank you Flo. Unfortunately, we don’t have an old chassis. We see the chassis comes in a “quiet” model which is 275W compared to 300W. Any thoughts?
I hope you are right about M100 offering the sw disc to everyone. I really would like to see M100 continue on. I’m not saying FCP isn’t great, but for me, I’m happier staying with what I know, what I’m comfortable with, and what works…for now.

Thanks Flo. My G4 is only a dual 800 with around 640 ram. That being said, does the G5 make more sense?
M100 should offer the free sw disk to everyone. We are a small company and don’t have the budget to attend NAB – we are on the east coast. We’ve looked at a HD demo and liked 98% of it. It’s just a cost thing for us right now.
