Are you importing all the footage as 1 large file? Or just 1 clip at a time?
Are you having the capture software splitting the video files into clips?
Are you experiencing any audio to video sync problems?
Have you tried any other software NLE? Premiere (Adobe) has a trial version as well as Vegas Pro.
Hi Steven,
I originally imported the footage from Adobe Premiere Elements, (add media) which imported everything off my camera at once. I didn’t get the chance to choose what to import. It all ended up as a bunch of smaller clips of the 2 long scenes that I shot. Maybe I should have imported it using the Sony PMB, but I originally intended using Elements for the editing. When I realised it didn’t have as many good features as the Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 9, I put the clips in there to edit.
I haven’t intentionally had the files split into clips, in fact it has been a real headache having all these clips that are about 2 Gig.
I have no synch problems and have tried turning off the snap and edging the beginning of the following clip onto the end of the previous clip to cover the little sound gap but it doesn’t really work.
Is Vegas Pro the same as Movie Studio Platinum? I’d be happy to get another version if it fixes my problem.
Thanks again for your help.
Chris
