Put the video on track one and blow it up and blur it and decrease opacity some.

If you want 24p, you should shoot and edit 24p.
Bluray specs from a 720p/30p edit would be mpeg2 59.94 for the frame rate. Choose the bluray preset when exporting to AME.

Just back up all the card media/files, it’s the best thing to do.
What if you need to access the footage down the road on another system and it wants to see other data in there to read the files properly?

If the chance of windows is slim, stick with the Mac OS formatting.
You can always transfer the media to another drive later that is Exfat.
Or off-load temp, reformat drive, reload media.Chris

We’ve taken to archiving the project of course, and mastering to the P2 format. P2 can be opened by any pro edit sys. mac or pc. Then, backed up to redundant USB drives.

If it were me I would scan them in large.
Maybe 2500-3000 pixels on the large size and I would probably select 200dpi.Chris

The HPX170 does not shoot VFR in 1080 or 720p. Is the 171 different?
You can try a 25p sequence for the edit.
In NTSC land with VFR, you can have a 720/24p sequence and drop the VFR footage in that.
