So I`ve been able to get a bunch of clips to link, maybe 10% of the timeline, but I still have clips that won`t link, even so the footage got imported into the Media Pool.
I am looking at the clip in the timeline with a film symbol on it and a crossed out circle on it (not just a Red X as described in the manual), and I have the matching clip selected in the Media Pool (that DaVinci imported) why won`t they connect, and why do I not get the “Force Conform with Clip in Media Pool” option (its greyed out) ?

Thanks guys, so without running out and buying a Hardware scope right now, are there any options software only, or do I have to play the (75% Vectorscope) crude game I guess.

I am confused that a software like DaVinci can`t integrate a limiter node or full fledged scope ?
I am waiting for the delivery of a Flanders Scientific monitor that has build in scopes, not sure if that will help ?

Can you describe the soft clipping process for chroma, how do you set that up. I was able to do a LUT for the luminance that works great, since I can now crush the blacks as much as I want without having to worry.

Beginner Question here: What about the Chroma levels. I’m not sure how to check for those. I keep reading about a limit of 110 and to use the Waveform Monitor set to FLAT mode, but the Resolve scope doesn`t have that. And with your soft clip LUT when I look at the Vector scope, I can still push it passed the recommended 75% marks.

  • Thanks, what are your system specs, I am just running A 2008 Mac with a GTX570 and GTX120, since I am waiting for my Flander Scientific, and control surface, so I couldn`t break the bank yet with more CUDA`s and Cubix boxes.
Hopefully that`ll get me thru the first film, and if I can manage I`ll upgrade after that. I think most of it can be done in frame view (if not ideal).
Does Resolve have a memory playback function for realtime like After Effects does ?

I have the same problem, I get a error saying file “00001.m2ts could not be accessed. Data fork -39
Is that what you are getting ?
