Hey Jeff,

I deleted a few projects and it seems to have cleared up the issue. Maybe there was a problem with a specific one? I tested several different projects and all of them slowed down the computer. Is it possible that it was slowed down just because there were too many of them?

Hmmm okay. It has a NVIDIA GeForce 320M 256 MB graphics card. I don’t really know what that means, but I think it’s stock. When I bought the computer, the original owner said there weren’t any mods to it and all I’ve changed is the RAM.

I’m running Mavericks and since the OS upgrade, FCPX 10.0 couldn’t export, hence the deliberate update. I was told that was a compatibility issue between old versions of FCPX and Mavericks. Do you know if there’s any way to downgrade? I’ll have to explore previous versions that both don’t have reports of export problems and don’t way too heavily on the graphics card.
