    Thanks guys!
I think that I will go with a J4 solution in raid 5 or two j4 in raid 10.
The real question now is to see if it makes more sense a SSD array (4x1TB) instead of a 4x 7200 rpm hdd.

Here in Europe is the same too. We preordered ours in late November, already paid, but still waiting for it.
I wrote to AJA sales department, this is their answer:
“Shipments worldwide of the Ki Pro Mini are expected to begin around the end of January”.
    So here we are…

Thanks Walter, I would like to hire a commercial legal skilled guy, but in the meantime I will try to be more cautious on accepting and doing jobs without contracts.

Yes, you are totally right of course. My basic doubt was about the poor quality which could come out from a compressed video (H.264) to another codec. I also noticed that FCP doesn’t like too much to work with H.264.

    Hi Daniel,
they have two different needs: one version to put on their streaming server and another one to insert in a PAL DVD. They asked me an AVI because all their systems are windows and they want to do some different versions on they own . The file size is not a problem, only quality is the first concern.
    Thanks

    Thank you Rafael,
I just tried to do that on a PC with Premiere Pro installed and it works pretty good!

    Thanks and good luck

    Hi Raphael,
I know that windows doesn’t support the codec. I was wondering if there was some rule to do it with compressor. Since the final version will be a PAL DVD 720×576, I think I could do something on my clip before exporting. I am still thinking how to deal with the aspect ratio. I know that our customer wants a 16:9 version of the footage.

    Thanks Rafael,
I will suggest them to download it. In case they did not agree to pay for the software, is there a good way to do it through compressor or quicktime conversion?
