    Well, after searching all the recommended folders, I cannot find Effects Presets anywhere!
    However I’ve solved the problem by trashing fcpx prefs, rebuilding permissions then running Disk Warrior. This has brought back my effects presets.
    I think my problems may have been due to migrating everything over to my new Mac, where I should have clean installed everything…

    I also use BM & have discovered that by switching the MIDI handling of audio in the Mac Utilities to Multichannel, it fixes the mono monitoring issue.

    I had a similar problem, but with AJA T-Tap playback. Turned out to be AJA firmware/software. AJA gave me a new beta version of the drivers & all is now well. Suggest you contact BlackMagic etc support & start there. Best of luck.

    You can download the free Catalyst browse software from Sony’s website. Works well enough.

    Thanks for your quick response Patrice.
    Another question – When importing clips (AVCHD) why does the clip name not import? Instead it uses the Content Created info as a clip name? Can’t get my head around it.
