That’s what I suspected – it’s just unnerving when you’re asked a question and you have no way of accurately answering it, haha.

As it turns out, my client burned the disk and I actually sent him the PAL version anyway, which didn’t work on his stateside DVD players. That certainly backs up what you’re saying.
I’ll send my client the NTSC copy tonight and fingers crossed it will work fine.

Thanks for taking the time to engage with this – if there are any further issues I’ll message back, but I’m confident I wont have to.

    All the best.

Hi there Eric, and thanks for responding.

I’ve tried that and there is nothing in the preferences tab about Regions.
There also appears to be nothing as an option when I start a new project and still nothing when I’m about to save the project as an image file.
I also can’t find anything related in the user manual or ‘show me how’ function.

I might not know much about DVD Authoring, but I’m pretty sure this shouldn’t be so difficult to find.

Like I said, the project appears to be fine, but my client has put doubt in my mind at the 11th hour and I just want a few other opinions on how I should proceed before handing it over to him.

Thanks all the same for looking into it – any other suggestions? I’m totally stumped.

Hi, the system supports it, by the looks of it. However, dragging and dropping doesn’t work.
If i try an alternative like ‘insert object’ i receive an error code saying that. ‘file is not of the required type’
    :/

    Hi

Okay, im sat in front of my pc now so hopefully i can be more clear.
I’m using Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 10.0.
    &
    DVD Architect 5.0

Both arepretty new, as is the PC im running froom.

I should add that when i render on Vegas, i can render using AC-3.
However, it’s wwhen i open. Architect that i can’t search for the file.

Are there any variations on this?

    Thanks for your continued response.

    Hi, thanks for the reply.
Yes its movie maker im using, apologies again for the vagueness of my info – im not working in ideal settings art the moment.

I tried your steps, but it didn’t work.
Dvd architect gave an error message audio couldn’t be found.i also noticed when opening a new project to try it from scratch that when looking for the type of file in the drop down menu (on dvda) that ac3 wasn’t avaiable.does this mean i dont have it on my pc, and if so, can i still proceed!

    Hi Mike

Thanks for your response, I started looking through the search options just after posting this and I’ve already seen a few tricks I haven’t tried yet.

It seems to be a pretty consistent problem – I hope Sony Vegas are working on fixing it. It’s a pain in the ass.

This problem has occurred before, but I’ve always managed to find a fix – but for this particular project – I just cant seem to find a way around it which is making me think it has more to do with my footage than with my PC or Vegas Software.

I’ll try out a few suggestions from the earlier posts and get back to you all if my issues persist.

Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction.
