I downloaded Resolve and I am very pleased with their stabilizer. I am noticing, however, that I’ve lost some grain (shot on 16mm). I’m wondering if this is because I exported using an xml file from FCP, but rendered down to a .mov file from Resolve, before importing the stabilized clip (.mov) back to FCP.
I can’t seem to find a way to export an xml file from resolve. Would doing so prevent the grain loss? Would that also prevent the slight discoloration?
I’ve attached 2 before and after shots.
