what i do is pretty much simplistic stuff. I have video that I shoot with my camcorder and I want to send it to a friend on a dvd. I dont really do any editing I just upload the vid into the system and then import it into the dvd creation software. Im not using any complex programs to do anything fancy with just the generic 2d menus. I have downloaded some vids of the net that are in everything from mpeg to real to qtime format and the result is the same. it just takes forever to produce the finished disk. I am running a 2.4 celeron cpu with 2.25 gig of ram and a 40gig hard drive. I have used ulead, nero, and adobe dvd authoring software. any suggestions on how to speed things up. having the pc down for 10 or more hours doesn’t leave me with much more time to do anything.
