The other post i linked to seemed ask and answer the same question as i have here, but it appears to do something entirely different.

I have also found this script witch seems to be another way to achieve what i’m after (by controlling individual points of a mask rather than using beams) but again, its not doing anything. I feeling pretty confused and stupid now. Is it really this hard?

It should all be so easy right!?
Its for a showreel for a new portfolio, I’m still working on the site itself, so not a huge rush right now, I’ve tried so many different things and nothing is working so it would be nice to get this last bit done.

Nice titles right!? To be clear, I did not create this video, that was https://prologue.com/
I saw this video at the 2009 conference it was made for, https://www.offf.ws

I am interested in the technique where triangles have been created over a video, the points of the triangle appear to be pinned/follow motion tracking points from the video.

My approach was to use the Beam effect in after effects to draw lines between several points, making triangles (this way i have full control over the movements of the points) My issue it that I want to fill the internal areas created by the beams with different colours, very similar to the OFFF video.

Is that a little more clear?
