Two and a half years later I have to thank Brandon. I would never have found the solution and I still don’t know why that modify option seems to have changed after months if not years of working “normally”.

Thank you, Brandon and Creative COW!

I don’t know exactly if that’s what you’re looking for, but it gets quite big when making DVDs and BDs with Encore:

user > you > library > App Support > Adobe > Common > Media Cache Files

Hope that helps. Freed up a lot of space for me 🙂

Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions.

Danny, this is just amazing! Thank you very much for your detailed information. And so fast.

  • Thanks Daniel.
I am just a little bit confused.
After I rendered my stuff in FCP, I export it as a selfcontained Quicktime.mov
Looking at that .mov in the QT Inspector it says: Apple Pro Res 422, 1440 x 1080 (1888 x 1062) FSP 25 (which all makes sense) but then it also says Normal size 1920 x 1080, current size 1920 x 1080.
And because I couldn’t find the files Encore transcoded for Blu-Ray, I transcoded the .mov files first in AMC before importing. There I wasn’t sure what to choose and what to change (other than Audio which is PCM in AMC presets).

You seem to be highly experienced. How is your workflow for a BD out of FCP material?

    Thank you for your help.
    Chris
