I have cut and paste all the timeline into a master timeline that is non drop frame timecode. This seems to have done the trick. What I am going for is an accurate EDL that I can give to them so they can scan the selects from negative. It seems to be working. I am not done yet, but given that the timecode in the viewer and the timecode that is burned into the image now match, will this generate an accurate EDL? thank you for your help thus far. I agree, the more prepared I am, the better off I will be, thus saving money. I can barely afford the session as is.

I am a newbie when it comes to this sort of thing. I tried what you suggested and it seems to work. Will simpley switching off the drop frame setting for my current timeline do the trick? Or should I start a fresh with an entirely new timeline? I am scanning selects as uncompressed HD to hard drive for my short. So I guess it is not a traditional online via tape to tape. The usual ultra low budget constraints prevent me from having the post house do all this. I just wanted to be as prepared as possible for when I go into the post suite.
