    Hi Shane –

I just tried exporting self contained, using the sequence settings, and no conversion of frame rate this time. However, the large red pixelated spot on that one particular clip is there again.

The source clip still looks good, so it must be some setting or something in the export process is messing up the final product. Perhaps a color correction setting gone wrong?

Any other ideas as to the cause? Thank you so much for the help thus far!

    Hi Shane –

If memory serves, I converted the timeline and was not using the default sequence settings. Sorry if my memory is not 100%, I made the file months ago and was just alerted to the problem by our distributor today.

I believe the export settings I chose were: Apple Pro Res 422 (HQ), self contained .MOV, 16-bit Integer (Little Edian), Stereo 48.000 kHz 16-bit Audio

The source codec of that particular clip is Apple ProRes 422 (LT), Linear PCM, Timecode

I also exported the file at 23.98 fps even though the original footage was shot at 30fps. Could that possibly be the cause? I’ve read that it can cause weird issues like this…

Would it possibly fix the issue if I just used the default sequence settings instead?
