All the improvements we are planning for the studio try to accommodate a large project that’s close to being signed, consisting on creating a large Audiovisual database of the Island I live in, mostly landscape, so I don’t foresee heavy editing or compositing, just the usual CC and minor adjustments.

I’ll mail you (if that’s ok) a basic diagram and description of the workflow I’m planning to implement, including new systems and “recycling” the hardware we already have.

We don’t have many resources here in the Canary Islands like integrators I could consult about all this so the COW is my first stop for gathering information.

Hi there, and thank you for chipping in

The stills are RGB but what drove me nuts is that within FCP, I get two different previews, viewer & canvas don’t match…???

The G5 is behaving strange anyhow. D’you know that weird feeling? It’s just not “as always”. As soon as I finish an ongoing job, it will go through FULL restore (:-())

In any case, I might just well upgrade to something faster and leave the G5 for secondary stuff…
