Although I have never really talked to anyone who had a subscription, I did get a chance to do a lesson when Dean was at NAB/BEA last year. I think it was when he was first getting the Anvel off the ground, but at the time the coursework seemed really solid, definitely alot better than anything I ever learned in my AE course in college (although that was horrible so its not much to compare to). It was alot of like real world scenario kinda situations and how to work through them, and very cool way to learn AE since you feel like you are actually doing something cool and not just walking through some cheesy tutorial. Unlike alot of tutorials and training I have seen, the stuff you create in his courses is actually well designed and professional.
Dean was super knowledgable, and was also kind enough to take a few minutes to chat with me and give me some career/demo reel advice that was really helpful as well. So, from my experience, if you are looking to learn some AE its a solid choice. Plus, 4 out of 5 cow rating is sure fire.
