I’m in the same boat and it actually is not true that these programs provide identical results. Through simply taking the same video file and adding the same LUT in Premiere and FCPX, there was a clear difference in the color of my clips. They’re not extremely different, but enough to notice there you won’t get two identical end results. For me, I can cut a lot faster in FCPX, but for coloring I’d rather work in Premiere.

  • I posted on the other thread where this issue was brought up, but wanted to post to you directly to hopefully help you solve this problem. AJA provided me with a PDF that will walk you through exporting within the newest version of FCPX. It solved that static audio issue for my client so hopefully this is the fix you’re looking for in the meantime while waiting for FCP to do their part and give us back our functionality!

I won’t waste any time here. A client was having the same issue with the audio since the FCPX update. I spent some time on the phone with AJA and it seems they have been hearing from a lot of people about this and have developed a work around. While it isn’t a permanent fix (which hopefully FCP will take note of), it seems to have flawlessly solved the issue for my client and didn’t take long at all. I have uploaded a PDF which was sent to me via AJA tech support. Hopefully this helps you guys.
