this is the workflow suggested over at DVXuser. As I understand it, making a disk image is the safest way to guard against corruption (current problems aside) as it keeps the P2 media in it’s native Fat32 format.
As I do more research and take a closer look at the card in question I wonder if there might have been a problem in the formating of the card.
There are 28 clips on the card.
I can import the first clip but the last frame of the first clip is from previous footage (from another reel shot earlier in the day) and everything after that clip is nothing but static. It is not carryover from a previous reel as the footage in question was one of the 1st shots of the day
I’ve looked at it in P2 Log and the FCP P2 import.
I’m going to try and move the footage to a PC and take a look at it.
