Thanks for all the feedback! More details were requested about my project so here goes; i have video footage of small planes flying against various backgrounds (mountains, sky, ect.,). In our experiment we had several observers watching the planes as they flew different patterns, and we asked them to state outloud (so it could be captured on tape) when the planes became invisible or visible (due to a camoflauge effect against the backgrounds). I need to go through the video data & pull out each frame in which the threshold of dectecion ws reached. In other words, I need pics of the plane every time someone lost sight of it or regained sight of it. These images willl then be analyzed to obtain psychometric functions of detection thresholds for the FAA. My problem is that I need to figure out the distance between the plane & the observer in every frame of interest, but I need to use the latitude & longitude from the plane’s gps data to do this. Somehow then, I need to sync the time-of-day stamp from the fligt data with that of the camera’s internal clock as I pull out my images. In short, I would like to see the time of day stamp from the camera’s internal clock on the video editing screen… Please let me know if any clarification is needed. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
