Unfortunately, ‘disable video output when in the background’ setting is for an external TV or a monitor. It doesn’t work for my problem…

All I want to do is keep PPro run when I am doing other stuff on the same computer monitor…

Correction… It was 1.5 not PPro2.0 that worked fine in the background…

If I get it correctly, you have left and right channels on your track but only one of them has the audio…

If so, try FILL effect…

Highlight your clip in the timeline and drag FILL LEFT effect on your audio if you have the original audio in your left channel, or FILL RIGHT if you have your original in your right channel.
