    nope.
it looked like that was the solution but its the same.
I recaptured about 5 minutes of video using that template and it still came out the same.

    anymore ideas anyone?

Thanks dave S for the template.

you know thats interesting because I’m starting to think maybe it was the deck.

I am currently on Generic DV basic device – NTSC
When I couldnt find the deck template on avid people told me to use either use Generic, DSR 25 or 40 – all of them gave me deck control. I just stayed with Generic since it worked.

I’m gonna try and capture again using that template.

so I tried the 1st one – everything was going fine until the unclicking of the .omp
I see no other file there except for the .omp

see when I choosed Media Relatives it highlighted my sequence and the bin in where it was at (in this case named Tape 2 part 1) and nothing else.

only file I see with .omp is the one that I highlighted to media relatives. I hoped I explained it well.

Haven’t tried number two. I’ll do that right now.
BTW I have tried to capture this again (small clip) and it still did it. Tried another project and same thing. it has to be either deck or some setting on avid.

yes its from the get go thats its out of sync. Controlled deck with firewire.

since I’m re learning avid from being taught it over a year ago checking sound anything is a big prob. for me.

I have started to cut video into the timeline but because its so far out its going to be really hard for me to find the audio to match every clip. oh man this is starting to give me a headache.

any suggestions? do I just slide everything over until it matches?

since I just want to cut audio to match what do I have
how do I do that? do I re-capture those clips but with out pressing the V (video) on the caption tool?

thanks for helping me out promoboy
