Is it possible you could help me out as well? FCP has been crashing whenever I try to capture in HDV format and I can’t figure this out! I would greatly appreciate it,

Hi Cory, it’s been a while since you posted your question, but you didn’t seem to get any answers. I bought a sony HD cam myself, and after much trial we discovered that instead of capturing, I need to Log and Transfer. This is because my camera is digital and doesn’t use tape.
Hope you’ve already found a solution, but if not hope i’ve helped.
