I use the Australian keyboard and don’t have the problem.
When I load my keyboard setting it actually tells me that this setting is for the Australian keyboard.Have you redone your keyboard from scratch while you have the Czech language keyboard selected? and then save it this keyboard under a different name?

it would work, BUT if you had a problem say with the last VTR in a chain you’re never sure if it is the origin of the signal (Gen10) or a device in between or the problem VTR itself.
more a practical consideration then a pure technical one.Carsten

I’m not sure.
Maybe try to create and save the keyboard layout again with your keyboard prefs set the Czech. I think FCP is aware of the current language setting.Carsten

Could it be that your keyboard layout has been created with a different international keyboard setting then you normally/currently using?
That’s the only thing I could think of (other then prefs which already eliminated as the problem)

This is completely normal as the FCP capture window is 4:3 and to show a 16:9 aspect ratio HD (or SD) picture it needs to ‘letterbox’ it for the display.
That’s all to it.

Signal flow is from the Gen10 to everything else. Lopp through is only for ‘looping’ a signal through a device if you do not have enough outputs on the Gen10 to feed all your devices.get the Gen10 manual from the Aja website and set the dip switches so you have tri-level (HD) on one side (I use 5-8) and SD sync on the other side.
If you work in FCP editing HD connect one of the tri-level sync outs from the Gen10 to the Kona Ref in (make sure the dip switches match your HD format)
If your working SD in FCP use the SD sync out from the Gen10 to your Kona Ref in.
Now get new cables and connect tri-level (HD) sync to HD VTR’s and SD sync to SD VTR’s. Unless you have more VTR’s then you have free outputs on the Gen10 DO NOT use loop outs on the VTR or the Kona!

this is a shot in the dark as I don’t have your configuration but have you tried to use the HDV firewire control device preset(s) instead of the Firewire PAL/NTSC? I guess you have and your thinking right now ‘smarty pants’ 🙂
I just hope you’ll find a solution because when I discovered that I can’t control my HDV camera and ioHD at the same time from my MacBookPro I was hoping once I update to a Mac Pro and get the extra FW PCIe card all would be fine. . .

once you applied the preset, go into the inspector window, select the 3rd tab (the one with the watch symbol) and first click on the gear symbol on the right. Once you have done that you can switch on the frame controls by choosing it from the top drop-down menu. The one setting that is important for you is the resize setting and the middle selection (linear filter) is a good choice. higher settings will render much longer with little visual improvement. but feel free to experiment 🙂Carsten
