I was thinking of rearranging my budget and perhaps going for the i7 5960X. I imagine that is the best Intel CPU out there before you start getting into the £1000+ Xeon’s

Only thing I was thinking was that a lot of people big up Xeons as being very good for rendering, and they also should be able to manage the workload a bit easier and not be prone to crashing if it’s been rendering for a while due to all the number crunching that will be going on.
And according to some Benchmark sites the Xeon beats the i7 5930K on a core to core basis.
As the long rendering sessions are what I need the CPU to be reliable for. So far I’m thinking the Xeon might be the better choice.
Thanks.

I’d then save it as a .VEG file and drag it onto the video. Yeah it’s a track based effect.

April 8, 2015 at 4:10 pm in reply to: Having an issue after creating a rainbow flashing effect on a video.Nope I haven’t got a control on the T36. That was just the music that came with the unedited video. I didn’t put a control on it.
Yeah to be honest this is probably down to my relatively new start at Vegas. You’re right I probably can move most of them onto one track.
The composting control on T1 is Multiply (Mask) because without that the rainbow effect just flashes between all of the various colours. But when Multiply (Mask) isn’t on it doesn’t make the rest of my video go black. It’s only as soon as I turn on Multiply (Mask) the effect works in tandem with the video but as soon as it gets past the effect the rest of the video goes black.

Still got a ton of stuff to add to it yet but as soon as this issue is fixed I will carry on with that.
Thanks for the help so far.
Cameron.
Also here is a more zoomed in image showing the effect a bit more.

Sorry if I am a bit of a novice at this by the way. Still very new to Vegas.
