Thank you. I was able to get all my clips downloaded. I would break the clip into smaller clips. Final Cut would typically let me import a few of the clips and then stop importing them again (and begin making them 32kb clips instead of the real clips).

Each time this happened I would save the project under a new name, quit final cut, open again under the new name and resume importing until it stopped working again and then I would save again under another name.

Big pain but the clips are all intact with the exception of my final 20 minutes of footage. When I looked at the Firestore folders I noticed that there was MXF Audio files for these clips but no MXF video files for the clips.

This was a 2 camera shoot with my Firestore camera being the A camera (with the audio from the stage mike going right into the XLR on the camera). The B camera footage (P2 cards) was fine but did not have the direct audio.

So what I did was grab a few of the MXF video clips from the first 40 minutes that did work and simply renamed them to match the audio clips where I was missing video.

I could then do a P2 import in final cut of these clips. While the audio did not match the video, at least I was able to import the higher quality audio which I will simply match up with my B camera footage and then I have useable clips.

There might be an easier way and I was lucky that I had a b camera but at the end I salvaged the job.

I am going to order the upgrade tonight. Thank you for the help.
