My two cents is also that Media100 is the most intuitive. I moved to FCP a couple of years ago and am now considering going back to Media100, since I already own two contracts.

I do not know about availability of tutorials, but I agree that those would be very helpful. I use them all the time for other applications. Perhaps that could be a class project – to make tutorials for other students.

It will be tonight, but I will try all of these things. Great ideas. I will let you know if any of these work. Thanks again.

Thanks David. No, I am not trying to start at the beginning of the tape. It is really about in the middle. I can capture a minute at a time, and edit that together, but as you can imagine, that will take some time with three 30 minute tapes to do. I am not SURE that drop frame is the issue, I just assume it is because all other tapes have been non-drop and I have been able to capture them fine.

Wow. You guys are just too helpful with this info. Yes it is a MacBook Pro 17″ 2.16Ghz, 2GB. Shane, do you know if the Mini is shipping? Did not seem to be the case when I sent to the G-Tech site. Of course, I can call tomorrow. And guys, what does a SATA drive config like FirmTek give you that the FW800 does not in this case: Just more streams of video – and how many? I do not know alot about SATA at this time. Thanks again for all your help.
