Ok I assume by zooming I’m to change the scale under motion in that same effects panel….when i get it to 56%, the whole frame is viewable (within the portrait of black).

The video is so much smaller….

This kinda blows my mind that I can’t just rotate the video and re-render and save it. Like when I have a picture in windows, I rotate it in picture/fax viewer, and it saves it with correct rotation forever. Seems so simple, I wouldn’t have guessed you cant do that with a video.

    Why is that?

Ok, I rotated the clip. Went to export->media and exported.

Im missing about 25 percent of the frame on the left and the right…thats the problem Im trying to fix. And the movie is letterboxed for what remains in the frame.

I had no idea this would be such an involved process. Im not much further in getting an answer than when i started.

Not knowing Premiere pro very well, it still seems like a simple task to just slice the clip before and after the phone rotation then rotate the entire second clip into a landscape view. Am i missing something here???

Seems like a pretty simple task.
