i agree on the vote for zylight. i had a z50 when they first came out and i now have 2 z90’s. i accidentally fried one my z90s thru a stupid wiring error and zylight was great on the service side of things.

I agree. My only issue is with the green cast in the presets.

another option would be to suspend/hang a mirror above the talent/cooking area and shoot the mirror.Brian Young

here’s a babelfish “translated” page:
https://tinyurl.com/6ju6m8not sure where these can be obtained here in the states – i’ve purchased a couple of their items (an on-cam light and their “press shooter” tripod adapter) from http://www.big10media.com as the owner has an office in japan as well.

i believe this lack of locking is intentional in order to provide a sort of ‘quick release’ in case you forget to unhook when removing the camera from the tripod.
i have this zoom controller and use it with my HA fujinon ‘full-size’ lenses with the appropriate adapter – one that is also sans locking function.
but – they should sell you the connector…that’s bad.

Hi Marc,
At the risk of sounding like a jerk, (it’s not my intention) I’d suggest getting a good tripod. Too many users of these smaller cameras pass on this one very important piece of equipment. Yes, some of the appeal of a smaller camera is its portability, but your pictures will be helped immensely and your wrist will get a break if you throw the thing on sticks every so often….
(think about it – when you see pictures of the ex1, ex3 and other small cameras, how often are they on a tripod – almost never – which i think is a mistake..but i could be wrong.)
