Encountered the same issues on my system when we upgraded from Vista to Win 7. Would no longer playback (smooth) XDCAM EX footage or even DV from a RAID 5 configuration. After some initial panic we simply ungraded the drivers for our video card (NVIDIA Quadro FX1700) and the problem was immdiately solved! Hope this helps!
