Again, wow, yes – much faster than manually inserting keyframes all over the place. Much appreciate you pointing that out!

Wow – for all these years I only ever used A, T and P as Tools! I’m sure this would have been covered in the tutorials I took back in the day but, you know, one forgets…. Many thanks to all of you!!

Hi Francois – I much appreciate your reply but could you please give me a bit more detail? Based on what you wrote I enabled Clip Skimming (Opt+Cmd+S) but that still only provided a range in the main storyline/Timeline, not in an independent audio track attached below the storyline/Timeline.

Very much looking forward to your reply and thanks in advance.

Thanks SO much for the ideas gentlemen – much appreciated. I tried all sorts of different lengths of loops cut in slightly different places and I used a good selection of effects but there was always an underlying echo sort of sound to one degree or another. You know what I hit on in the end – I just retimed the actual chord to 50% of the normal speed. It kept the pitch (of course) and sounds perfect! Really happy, clever FCPX!

I reinstalled FCPX, rebooted and now it’s working. How do I delete this thread?

Whoops, sorry, I meant the “Fade” title.

  • Sorry Anmol, I tried a few things a year or more ago but with a bit of research I always found something better than I think I could have done myself.

  • I bought it a few months ago but there was something I didn’t like about it. Perhaps I couldn’t use a short video as the background? Only still images allowed? Or maybe I’m getting confused? I’ll try to remember what it was. Might be a few days.

Whoops – amazingly no one has ever asked me for blue ray. I burn hundreds of DVDs a year – I do LOTS of amateur shows and plays and so on. For some reason PAL DVDs seem acceptable but I’ve been told that the NTSC equivalent ain’t so hot. You’re in the US?

More looking around and now I think I’m going with DVDStyler. Still seeing if it’s right for me coming from Encore but I have to say it could be the one.
