I used Final Cut Pro 6 last year and in an attempt to get the same one at home purchased Final Cut Pro Academic.
When opening a project from last year on my hard drive the message came up
File Format is too new for this version of the application.
For a current project I went to the Final Cut Pro 6 computer and created an mov file to continue working on one of the projects.
As a temporary work around it seemed like it served the purpose except it created a generation down file that causes playback errors.
Is there a way to upgrade the Final Cut Pro Academic version so that it will be able to open up and work on the Final Cut Pro 6 projects?
