Multigroups are pretty much the only thing that I script sync on this project, and for the most part they turn out fine, but on some for whatever reason they look all derp. They function perfectly normal, they just don’t look normal.

A few of them were created by avid and some were brought in manually. If that’s the case that folders are read only, Then I shouldn’t be able to place the individual mxf files in the folder in the first place correct?

And yes to your first question. It is a shared storage system. I’d too much about the details because I’m not looped in that deep

It is? I’m not positive, it was laptop that was used for most of the transferring

I tried that, but didn’t yield any results. What we ended up doing was starting over and AMA linking to all the clips that were in the sequence in a separate AMA bin. Then we did on big relinking, and that brought most of the clips online, and the few that did not we just overcut.

I guess what I’m asking is I can still keep the analysis data, and split the clip, and not wait another 8 hours for this thing to analyze?
So within the current project I should be able to just split the clip on the current timeline and just stabilize those little sections using the same analysis data I already have right?

Is there a way to have After Effects Segment the part I want stabilized or will I need to physically cut the clip into chunks

I realize this is an old post, but to answer the question, if you’re using the track motion feature, and you see that you’re tracking points are all over the place, you “simply” have to go through using through using those arrows and adjusting the tracking point so it aligns correctly. I say simply because depending shot this could be a simple as adjusting 2 tracking points out of 1000 or a pain in the ass of doing 1000/5000. I don’t claim to be an after effects expert but this is just my experience with it.
