    I do not know where you get your information. By far the best authoring software for DVD’s is Sonic Scenarist. It is a true DVD spec authoring application. When DVDSP can get rid of it’s abstraction layer I might give it a bit more credit. Anyway if you want to do autoruns and simple menu DVD’s DVDSP is alright.

    Using the rom side for anything CDRom related has been a real hit/miss for all of my Dual layers. It worked on a few computers but not all. Laptops had the hardest time with duals.

    Another good starting point for learning C4D is Lynda.com. It too is a pay site…but at 20-30 a month…you can learn alot in a short time. You can also buy the cdrom and not worry about a mothly fee.
