I ran WhatSize and also Disk Inventory X and they found that there was a .sparseimage file of 42GB with the title of my missing folder. However, it was just one file and not the folder with all the contents. I’m not sure what this means. Is there any other step I can take before heading to the genius bar or am I tapped out?

Thank you for the suggestion. But, I tried each of your suggestions and I think I have a really stubborn problem on my hands. Every time I try to empty the trash with that file in the basket the computer freezes up and I have to manually turn off the computer. Thanks again but I’m going to be fighting this file for a bit.

so with a 29.97 playback, after having shot DVX 100b at 24p advanced, do I still use the DV NTSC 24P advanced capture option or do I use the DV NTSC 48 Khz option in FCP? Thanks again!
