After one is up to speed a little, go watch all bazillion 5 minute free tutorials from Ripple Training. And if you’re going to buy training, that’s where it’s at as well.

Agreed! Izzy was all I needed 5+ years ago to get the differences between the two apps. If you know another NLE it’s not brain surgery and Izzy does a great job of giving you the basic workflow without digging in too deep too soon.

It does. But only to some extent. If you add new parameters, they won’t exist. But if you change the size of a logo or color of something that already exists, then yes.

And you should be able to edit them if they’re in the library as well. Just open up the package and edit them from where they live there.

Hold down Z (your left hand should reside right thee anyyway) and keep your hand on your mouse and draw a marquee around what you want to zoom on. To zoom back out press shift Z.

So you’re leaving media in place when you import the photos, correct? How did you import other/camera media? My point being that if you wish, you could go to the library prefs panel in the inspector and direct your media location to a single place and then click consolidate. But this is going to move/copy all the media to that folder. If the majority of your media is already in the location you’re pointing to, then it should just grab the additional (photos) and copy them there.

  • Shouldn’t a modern i7 outperform a lower end NMP in almost every way? Playback of h264 should be better, export of h264 should be insanely better and the GPU should be better in the hackintosh.

  • I’ve seen a few vids claiming their hackintosh (running i7) costs under a grand and outperforms a MacPro by 20%.

  • You shouldn’t be rendering to h264.
