I, like Robyn, have always noticed the discrepancy with the color board. It stands out even more with actual video footage tmwhere the blacks aren’t full on zero. They ramp up way too quickly when adjusting highlights.

But the wheels… they’re way worse in this regard.

I think it’s a mess. It’s not right. I paid attention to the thread Bill was speaking of and it didn’t put any matters to ease for me. I’d call it a bug. Hopefully they’ll fix it.

You’re still on the t-tap? I went back to BMD Ultrastudio express after the finally fixed the crashing. I was always afraid the t-tap would spontaneously ignite. That thing was hot! Anyone know if BMD devices have any issues with 10.4?

I have High Sierra and 10.4 on a different system. Late 2012 iMac. But there I just have a second display attached with a TB to HDMI cable. All is well except when the second display is attached, the computer just keeps turning on and off every few minutes when it’s in sleep mode. Well, not really on, but the screen lights up to an almost black, and then goes back to sleep. Disconnect the 2nd display and it stops. I’ve heard of other 2nd display issues with HDMI on High Sierra / FCPX – not just 10.4.

They’re right there in the browser. Under your event(s). That’s generally how I create keywords. Right click on the event and choose new keyword collection. You can also create folders within your event to further organize your keyword collections.

But why do you keep typing keywords? Create the keyword, then drag the media to the keyword.

I have found that very little gets rasterized in AP. Even scaling a layer is not rasterized. No smart layers required. It tends to treat things like objects more than PS. Kind of a PS AI hybrid. The same holds true for Designer.

It does between it and FCP 7 so I assume to Premiere as well. I think they first added that a couple years ago. But don’t expect miracles.

Keywords are listed in the browser, in the event you created them in. To create keywords i right click an event and create a keyword collection. Then i meek the media and drag it to the keyword.

I still wonder if Affinity’s long game might be to be bought by Apple. The markets they’re going after are still untouched by Apple. Plus Apple would get to kill something that’s popular on the PC side and they love to do that.
