You don’t need the trim tool unless you want to roll, slip, or slide. You could be placing it right over the center of the edge and trying to do a roll with only one clip. Move it slightly to the side with the clip and it’ll change to a single size trim icon. Or just use the regular A tool and there won’t be the roll confusion. Either way you need to also have the audio expanded with ctrl+s.

Well, in X instead of pressing in, hit blade all. Then instead of out, hit blade all. Now all you have to do is select the clip on the primary and you have the same two options as legacy. Except they’re reversed. since Ripple is the default, use shift delete to not Ripple. If you have the extended keyboard use the additional delete key to leave a gap. The above method doesn’t require selecting all the tracks inpatching either. I’m thinking you operated legacy with all tracks selected?

Are you running a sort of caching system on the website to make it faster? Maybe that’s affecting things.

Yeah, I’ve always clicked the picture button, which uploads a clip, then you have to cut and paste the code to insert. When did it get so easy?

Well that’s crazy cool. In 11 years of FCP legacy that never worked that way for me. But maybe I’m getting senile, but that was always one of my bigger complaints. What are your track patches looking like?

Sorry, if a clip started before the insertion point in FCP7, it didn’t Ripple down.
