    Hi Kevin,

No I have no idea what is going on. I tried a couple of other things but no dice. The only thing I can think of is a quicktime to 64bit issue. It is extremely annoying because I have to export as tiff’s to make it work. As you know they are very large so when I am doing multiple versions it takes up a lot of room.

Ok, although I haven’t fixed the problem I think I might know what it is. I am almost positive that it is a quicktime issue. I have both QT10 and QT 7.6.6

I am wondering if it is either outputting through QT10 or QT 7 and there is a 64bit issue. I export a FLV and it worked fine.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

Also I just tried one more thing and now I am getting this..

After Effects Error: rendering error while writing file. An output module failed.

I have tried all of that and I am stumped. Either it outputs with some digital interference or only a few frames. The only thing that works is outputting a TIFF sequence.

I’ve tried a couple of different codec all with different but equally bad results.

I’ve tried two different comps. Both of them are text comps created in AE. One is just type, no movements or filters, the other more complex with a move and the built in lens flares. The plain text on comes out like the picture above and the lens flare one comes out as a single frame of black

    Hey Kevin,

When I say export I meant output.Sorry it is the FCP editor in me that got the terminology wrong.

I added comp to the render queue, wanting to make a quicktime .mov. I set the path, etc., but continued to get that problem. I tried viewing the quicktime in qt7, qt10, and MPEG streamclip.

    Thanks,
