I had the same issue but resolved it when Apple refunded my money. The big question is whether or not the tax department see it as an Australian download or one from the US. If the product is downloaded from the US it isn’t subject to GST. It’s a grey area. Only Apple can answer the question. Good luck getting an answer from Apple.

Fantastic! Thanks sending the link. Apple kindly gave me a refund and I’ve officially given FCP it’s last rights. It was a sad day but the marriage is over and I have a new mistress.

Thanks for the links. I started my transition to Premiere a couple of days ago and it’s no big deal, the learning curve isn’t huge. Adobe is committed to graphics and video professionals, always has been and always will be. I’m a big fan of AE and was looking for an excuse to swap anyway. Thanks Apple for nailing the coffin lid shut.

I’ve been holding off on buying new plugins unless they work in PP or MC. I’m glad I did, I had a gut feeling that Apple was going to abandon it’s pro apps.

I’d hate to be a plugin manufacture right now, wondering if their stuck with a stack of plugins that have been developed for a white elephant.
