Right on about the video cameras being a very different circumstance, I was just using an extreme example about truthfulness. Potentially being lied to is my only real issue with this whole affair.

To answer your question, I’m not okay with a client not being truthful about the equipment or software he uses before and after the project. If someone claimed they would use a Red camera, shot with a prosumer camera instead, and then insisted it was a Red when asked, you wouldn’t have a problem with that? I would.
Also, it is possible to export a 422 pro res from iMovie, I just tried it to see if I could.

I ended up inverting the left track. Did you notice panning fully to the left or right yielded slightly different pitches? The mic must’ve been angled a bit right to left so that the right channel was more exposed and picked up slightly fuller sound.
The audio sounded good in the field through my headphones so I was hoping it was a post fix that an expert like yourself would identify much more easily than me.
I will have to contact Azden directly to make sure I end up with the proper XLR cables. Interestingly, I did some research before buying online but I guess I still ended up with poor advice.

Hey all, thanks for the responses. I’m not sure if those that listened to the audio listened all the way through to the end.
The first four segments (first :48 or so) were recorded at a different site than the rest of the track (:50 to the end) so it has reverb that isn’t present in the rest of the audio. In both instances, the mic was within 2-2.5 feet of the speakers’ chests. Since it was my first time using the mic in the field (Azden SGM-2X) I had to use a pre-amp, which was hooked up incorrectly. : (((((
Anywho, just to clear up my original question, I’m not that concerned about the reverb of the first speaker. I know there’s nothing that can be done about that. Plus there is a music track that plays underneath that mitigates some of the audio problems.
What I’m mostly concerned about is that the voices have no “authority” for lack of a better word. I’d just like to beef up their voices.
