Can you ColorTrace to a smaller res project?

I often find uses for the Master Timeline, but I do think it’d be incredibly useful to be able to duplicate a timeline or ColorTrace from inside a project.. which adding those two things would essentially get you to the FilmMaster way..
You can always import the same XML again to get a copy of the sequence, but then you have to verify you have the correct versions applied throughout.. definitely not as graceful.

It’d be worth attempting to batch copy your timeline, import your new sequence, batch copy the new sequence, then color trace and see if that accomplishes what you need. That way, in theory, every shot has your beauty grade as the local grade. Hopefully Resolve is smart enough to realize you’re using local grades and copies that over to the new timeline?

Things are working again in Resolve 9.1.3 with OSX 10.8.3.

Should be totally fine.
I’d recommend backing up the database, importing the new database with a new name, and upgrading that if you don’t want to start a completely fresh db for 9.1.

They’re saying any OFX plugin should work.
Granted, they’re unsupported, so if it crashes you look at the manufacturer, not BMD. They were demoing Sapphire at NAB. Some companies may make Resolve specific versions supposedly..

Same problem. Kind of cripples how I work so I’ve returned to 9.0.4.

Steve, I think you’re sort of out of luck.
If it’s a curve, you’re even more out of luck.
The only real option I’m aware of is to go to each keyframe and make the adjustment on a keyframe by keyframe basis. If it’s a circlular window, you can easily copy and paste. other than that, it’s quite a bit more tedious.
No promises on this, but maybe try duplicating the node in question (by copy and pasting it into another node) feeding that as a matte into the current node, inverting it, and then adjusting the settings in the key tab. It’s worth a shot.
